Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Lucy Hood – Senco (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Here at Bealings we believe that all children are unique and that this uniqueness should be celebrated and nurtured. We also believe that all children have the right to access equally rich and meaningful experiences, and that our job is to create an inclusive, happy and encouraging environment where every child can thrive and be free to ‘be’.

Special Educational Needs Information Report – SEND at Bealings
We utilise the Local Authority’s Local Offer to meet the needs of SEND pupils as determined by our policy and the provision that we are able to provide. This is outlined in our Information Report.

The Local Offer
All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.
The Children and Families Bill was enacted in September 2014. From this date Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available to children and young people with SEND. The Local Authority refer to this as the Local Offer.
